A good friend of mine needed some "girl time" away from the city this weekend, so we headed to a tourist town a few hours away. It's a lovely area of the country and is full of Western influenced menus to cater to the foreign tourists. The weather was sunny and HOT, so we floated from shop to shop, staying out of the sun and drinking cold water most of the day. I was able to buy some nice souvenirs to take back to America with me, and I had a great time hanging out with my friend, Rose. We had great conversations which led to some hopeful possibilities for Rose's outlook on the future.
