This past weekend I went to a conference on the east coast. Many of
you know that this has been something I've been anticipating for about
9 months! It was absolutely amazing and life changing,
and one of those great events where you clearly see His hand on your
life, directing your steps. I went into it expecting and planning
for one thing - and when I left, I went away with ENTIRELY new plans
and perspectives. And I couldn't be happier about it. I
want to say so much, but the best way for me to do that is for you
to call me or email me. I can't wait to begin this next
adventure that most definitely will change me to the core.
I feel like I came to some understandings about myself
this weekend, and how I can fit into the Big Picture. I
realized that in many of my past experiences I have leaned on my own
strength, and that I really don't want to try to do that anymore. I
think one of the most thrilling things in the world is to do what
I'm about to do, and lean NOT on my own understanding or strength. I'm
ready to be weak, that His strength can really be revealed.
On a very shallow note, the place I stayed was pretty
nice, and I really look forward to going back there. I must confess
that I have a moderate TV addiction, and going without will be so
good for me! When I return to this facility, I look forward to being
able to go running in the mornings, and continue to deepen many new
friendships.
