While living overseas I have been able to continue to enjoy some of my hobbies like rock climbing. We found this rock climbing gym in the city I live and checked it out on my roommate's birthday. Although the one long rope they had was frayed and incredibly unsafe, we had a great time on the wall! I was the main belayer, because the man working at the gym didn't seem up-to-par to me. When we pointed out the part of the rope that was frayed so thin it was about to snap, his solution was to take out a knife and cut the rope off at that point, retie a new knot, and gesture for us to keep climbing. Ha!

I tried to tackle their overhang, but it just kicked my butt on my repeated attempts.

It has been so long since I was able to enjoy a GOOD rock climbing gym. I often miss my days in Nashville when Renee and I would go 3 or 4 times a week after work. I am taking advantage of the rock climbing gym here in Richmond. Apparently it is one of the largest on the east coast, and I am very impressed with their facility.
